Alice Louise Ellerd

Alice Louise Ellerd, 87, of Graham, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2016 in Granbury. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, Sept. 10, at 2 p.m. in Eastside Church of Christ. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home. Alice Louise was born to the late R.L. and Fay Elizabeth Montana on June 29, 1929 at home in Young County near Woodson. She married Lawrence David Ellerd on Feb. 26, 1955 in Throckmorton. He preceded her in death on June 4, 2005. She loved being and working outside. She loved farming and ranching, she was a housewife and mother, she always had a garden and was always taking care of her family. Alice Louise is survived by her daughter, Sandra Ann Brown and husband, Darrell and twin granddaughters, Alexandra Nicole and Alexis Danielle of Granbury; brothers and sisters, Billie Webb of Woodson, Lucy Montana of Brownwood, Mary Cribbs of Throckmorton, Doris Walters of Murray, J. Montana of Hurst, Molleye Mayo of Ocala, Fla., and Frank Montana of Rockwall; and numerous nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Van Albert Ellerd, and a brother, E.L. Montana.
