Almeda Woodward, 95, passed away Sunday, March 28, 2021 at her home in Graham. Funeral was at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at Morrison Funeral Home. Burial followed in Pioneer Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Almeda was born Feb. 27, 1926 in Floydada, Texas, to the late Myrtle (Assiter) Sargent and Luther Allen Sargent. She married Leland D. Woodward, Jan. 2, 1946 in Cone, Texas. He preceded her in death on Sept. 22, 2002. Almeda moved to Graham in 1964 from Lamesa, Texas. She was a Homemaker and a member of Eastside Church of Christ.

Survivors include; sister, Myrtis Cope of Floydada; grandson, Adam Edwards of Archer City; Neri Gonzalez of Graham, thought of as a daughter; several nieces and nephews; caregivers, Tommy Gonzalez, Juanita Gonzalez, and Lourdes Rosas.

Almeda was preceded in death by daughters, Kathye Woodward and Susan Edwards, son, Doyle Woodward, sisters, Dulon Sargent, Wanda Hickerson, and Iona Cooper.
