Basilia Esparza Castro passed away Feb. 11, 2021. She was 88. A private family service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of McMillan-Satterwhite Funeral Home.

Basilia was born Sept. 1, 1932 in Ballinger, Texas to Victor Esparza and Viviana Viera. She later married Margarito T. Castro. She was a homemaker and loved spending time with family. She lived in North Texas for most of her life. She attended Iglesia de Assembly of God.

Survivors include six sons: Margarito Jr., Joe, Victor, Randy, David, and Hector Castro. Daughter, Enedina Castro, two brothers; Henry and Johnny Esparza, three sisters; Anita Camacho, Rosa Ramirez, and Eleanor Perez, as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a son Albert Castro, a daughter Velen Castro, two sisters Manuela Sanchez and Rita Guerra, and brother Joe Esparza.
