Beauford Wayne “Bo” Quaid

Beauford Wayne “Bo” Quaid went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, Sept. 3, at United Regional in Wichita Falls. Services were held Wednesday, Sept. 7 at 2 p.m. at the McMillan-Satterwhite Funeral Home Chapel. Interment followed at Newcastle Cemetery. Visitation was held Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Funeral Home.

Bo was born March 24, 1947, in Pineville, La. to Oliver Boyd Quaid and Audie Methvin. Bo was 75 years old. He was united in marriage on Jan. 24, 1995, to Melba Allen. Bo and Melba had a loving relationship. Bo spent eight years after graduating from school in the Air Force. He was honorably discharged as a staff sergeant Nov. 6, 1973. After he was discharged, he spent a few years working in the oil industry. He worked at Hexcel, but mostly as an airplane mechanic. He worked at Air Tractor until he retired.

His God given gift for love brought him countless friends who will dearly miss him. He was a beloved father. Bo loved to fish, hunt, and go on vacations. He could sit for hours just looking at the ocean.

He is survived by three brothers and four sisters: Paul Quaid and wife Sheryll, Kenneth Quaid, and wife Terri, and Ulece Quaid. Sisters Marie Nixon and husband Ronnie, Trena Smith, Theda Smith, and husband Mike. He is also survived by six children, Cindy Armstrong and husband Garry, Angie Wilkins and husband Larry, Donald Allen and wife Donna, Glenda Allen, Jimmy Allen, Sharon King, and husband Troy. Sixteen wonderful grandchildren; Braden and Bryson Armstrong, Ryan and Shyla Quinlan, Brody and Trey Wilkins, Donnie, Douglas, and Jessie Lee Allen, Derrick Martin and Sheena Forbes and husband Justin. Kyle Hawkins and wife Katie, Latrisha Strawbridge and husband Tradd, Darcie Baynes and husband Dickie, Randy Holstead and wife Leslie, Nikki Petty, and husband Michael. He had 12 great grandchildren, as well as many beloved family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Travis Quaid Roderick Quaid, and sister Loretta Hall-Kinney.
