Billy Earl Phillips, 63, went to heaven at 6:54 p.m. March 17, 2020, in his home with family and friends at his side after an 18-month battle with cancer.

He was born Nov. 19, 1956 to James Albert and Betty Earle Phillips. Betty remarried to Billy Herman McLin in 1961, and he was the one Billy called Dad. He loved them deeply and was thankful he was raised with love and Christian values.

Billy is survived by his loving wife of over 40 years Lou Anne Hull Phillips, three daughters and two sons-in-law. Joy Dawn Bradford, Vickie Lynn Burleson and husband Chucky, Latrisha Ann Winder and husband Steve; nine grandchildren, Forreste, KaCee, Colten, Christopher, Lily, Breanna, Tyler, Emma, Joyce; four greatgrands, Mathew, Jeremiah, Kaison, Elias; four brothers, James, Deanie, Dan and Kenneth; four sisters, Rune, Elsie, Mary Jean, Wanda Ruth.

He had numerous nieces and nephews. He had a special love for his in-laws “Pops and Granny,” John and Stella Hull, and his second “Honey,” sister-in-law Lana Perkins, and dear friend Renee Long, who he loved very much.

Billy had many talents which led him to many areas in life.

He loved deeply, laughed often and was quick to help anywhere he could. No words can describe the wonders of this man.

He was preceded home by James Albert in 2003, Elsie 2013, Mary Jean 2015 and close childhood friend Alvin Long 2019.

He will be met by his Papa and Grandmother, Claude and Roxie McDaniel, as well.

He was deeply loved and he will be deeply missed until we meet again in Heaven.
