Billy Ray Wilson Sr.

Billy Ray Wilson Sr., 59, of Scotland, Texas, formerly of Graham, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, April 5, 2017. Services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 7, at Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City, with Larry Pratt, pastor of the Church of Christ in Graford, officiating. Interment will follow in Crestview Memorial Park in Wichita Falls under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home. Billy was born Dec. 2, 1957 in Hallettsville, to the late F.M. Wilson and Dorothy Mae Brisco Wilson. Billy married the love of his life, Stacy McDougal, on June 21, 1975 in Archer City. Billy was a mechanic throughout his life. He enjoyed working on classic cars and hot rods, especially his red Camaro, “Lil’ Red Tex.” He loved working in the yard and was very meticulous with the landscape. Billy was a compassionate man who never met a stranger. He was a loving husband, father and Papa. Billy was just a “Good Man.” He was in severe pain all of the time due to his RSD; however, he always had a smile on his face. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sheridan. Survivors include his wife, Stacy Wilson of Scotland; two sons, Billy Ray Wilson Jr. and wife, Chloe, of Graham and Christopher Wilson of Scotland; two sisters, Joyce Hodde of Rosenberg, and Delores Kobersky and husband, John, of Manvel; one brother, Sirca Wilson and wife, Lisa; and five grandsons, Nolan, Drew, Christopher, Jordan and Braxton. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Joe Wilson, and a sister, Doris Jane Wilson. In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to go to RSDA, P.O. Box 502, Milford, CT, 06460.
