Tue, 03/14/2017 - 3:11 pm
Brenda Yvonne Maxwell Martin was born June 2, 1949. She was a loyal, loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her husband of 51 years was Robbie Joe Martin. He loved her dearly and cared greatly for her until the very end of her battle with ALS. Her loyalty and love to her daughters, Robin, Kendra and Misty, is an undying gift without equal. Her influence and love to her grandchildren, Conner, Brennan, Darin, Maya, Jacob and Fiona, was whole-hearted. She loved her great-niece Breanna and her two girls, Emma and Addi, as if they were her very own. Brenda loved to craft, cook and read. Oh, how she loved a good garage sale. She and her sisters, Nancy and Betty, and her mother, Maxine, would search for treasures all over the countryside. Brenda loved to sing; she had a beautiful voice. In her younger days, R.B., Betty, Teresa and the rest of her family members would get together and sing gospel songs until late at night. Brenda would like you to know her work here is done. She received the call to go home on Sunday, March 12, 2017 in her home in Graham, with her family by her side. Her mission now takes her to heaven where she will worship her Lord and savior all the day long. Brenda is preceded in death by her father, Ruben Burton Maxwell and her brother, Charles Maxwell. Brenda is survived and grieved by husband, Robbie Joe Martin; daughters, Robin Scheriger and husband Kirk, Misty Wadley and husband Anthony, and Kendra Martin; grandchildren, Conner Moore, Brennan Moore and wife Tasha, Darin Dillard and wife Selena, Maya Ressler, Fiona McKinley and Jacob Wadley; mother, Maxine Blevins; sisters, Betty Jackson, Nancy Hudson and husband Tommy, Teresa Groit and husband Scott; brother, R.B. Maxwell and wife Doris; and numerous nieces and nephews loved her dearly. A special thank you to Beyond Faith Homecare/Hospice for the exceptional love and care they gave to this beautiful soul. Very special thanks to Sharon Smith, RN and Barbra Adams, CNA. A memorial service celebrating the life of Brenda will be held Wednesday March 15, at noon at Graham Bible Church, 118 FM 61 in Graham.
