Carman “Lee” Turnbow

Carman “Lee” Turnbow passed away peacefully at home in Winter Garden, Florida, June 1, 2016, just three days shy of his 87th birthday. A celebration of life will be Saturday, June 18, 2016, at 11 a.m. in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel, Graham, Texas.

Lee was born June 4, 1929, to James Edward and Bessie B. Turnbow in Jack County, Texas. Lee grew up and attended school in Truce, Texas.  He married the love of his life, Jessie L. Todd, March 23, 1947. Lee spent most of his working years as a cable splicer. He taught his trade to many young men through the years. Lee was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Franklin, Virginia. He loved spending time with his family and friends.  Lee was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Survivors include his wife, Jessie Turnbow of Winter Garden, Florida; daughter, Candy Carpenter of Winter Garden, Florida; son, Greg Turnbow of Longview, Texas; grandsons, Chase Dimick and Zack Turnbow; granddaughter, Amanda Correa; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews also survive.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
