Celso Trejo Ortiz, 58, passed away Friday, Jan. 1, 2021 in Lubbock. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Morrison Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Celso was born July 28, 1962 in La Pechuga, Hidalgo, Mexico to the late Porfirio and Marcelina Trejo Ortiz. He was a quiet man never said very much. He was always a hardworking man. He loved to work on his lawnmowers and work outside in the yard. Every once in a while would buy a lottery ticket or two for fun. He loved his family and he always wanted everyone to be happy. He loved to see family come over to visit. He was always concerned if the kids (grandkids) hadn’t come over weekly.

Survivors include: wife, Ester Ortiz of Graham; step-daughters, Alice Winder and husband, Mike of Newcastle and Susan Guerrero and husband, David of Crosbyton; sons, John Salazar and wife, Gloria of Elbert, Jimmy Salazar of Graham, Andy Salazar and wife, Lacie of Graham, and Victor Salazar and wife, Vanessa of Graham; sister, Amelia Ortiz of Mexico; brothers, Rufino Ortiz of Graham and Emiliano Ortiz of Dallas; 19 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by step-daughter, Eloisa Sanchez and brother, Agustin Ortiz.
