 FORT WORTH — Charlotte Hutcheson, 88, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2016.


Cryptside service: 10 a.m. Friday in Greenwood Mausoleum. Reception: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. following the service in the Greenwood Live Oak Reception Room.


Memorials: Expressions of sympathy may be made to Salvation Army.


Charlotte Hutcheson was born June 27, 1927, in Graham to Elmer Burris “Kid” Milam and Ethel Whitmire Milam. She was raised in Eliasville, graduated from Graham High School, and then attended Harris College of Nursing in Fort Worth becoming a registered nurse. She married George O. Hutcheson Jr., M.D., in 1949, a union that would last 65 years. After their return from his Army service, they settled in Fort Worth where she raised two sons, managed a home, worked in her husband’s medical office, and was active on the family’s cattle ranch in Parker County. She was a member of the Tarrant County Medical Society Auxiliary organization for nearly 60 years and during her sons’ formative years was an active member of the Parent Teachers Association. Besides her family and West Texas, she loved gardening, needlepoint, caring for her pets, reading novels, and the Dallas Cowboys.


Although accomplished in many ways, she will be best remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, aunt and friend.


Charlotte was preceded in death by her late parents; husband, George; brother, Zohn Milam; sisters, Mildred Milam and Jeanette Milam Nanny; and daughter-in-law, Annie Hutcheson.


Survivors: son, Richard Hutcheson and wife Elizabeth; son, George Z. Hutcheson; and numerous loving family and friends.
