C.W. Mower Jr.

C.W. Mower Jr. went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 30. He was born Nov. 5, 1928, in Jacksboro, to Clifford Wayne Mower Sr., and Leatha (Dickerson).

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, May 6, at Bible Baptist Church in Jacksboro.

C.W., affectionately known as JR, proudly served our country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He married Sylvia Fisher on April 27, 1967, in Wichita Falls. They were happily married until her passing in 2002. He later married Melba Horton on April 1, 2003, in Archer City. Throughout his life, JR was a member of the Jack County Sheriff Posse for over 52 years, a member of the Bible Baptist Church, and retired from Coca-Cola after 33 years as a manager. He also became a Deacon at the Bible Baptist Church on May 21, 2006. Junior will truly be missed by those who loved and knew him.  
Jr. is preceded in death by his parents, and wife Sylvia.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Melba Mower; children, Jerry Mower and wife Tina, Debbie Coleman and husband Alan, Donna Kohr and husband Chuck, Dale Leach and wife Carol, Debbie King and husband James, and Mike Voyles and wife Darla; grandchildren, Kelly Mower and wife Kate, Krista Kauitzsch and husband Aaron, Randy Coleman and wife Andrea, Rusty Coleman and wife Mayra, Rich Zuber and wife Lindsey, Shawn Leach and wife Kaylee, Tarrah Mitchell and husband Michael, Heather Reeves and husband Alan, Cody Carter and wife Jessica, Heath Voyles and wife Courtney, and Josh Voyles and wife Macy; 27 great-grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren; along with a host of extended family members and friends.
