Cynthia Montgomery Tiernan

Cynthia Montgomery Tiernan, 67, passed away peacefully at her home in Roanoke, TX on Monday, Sept. 6, 2021. A private family internment is scheduled.

Cynthia was born June 29, 1954, in Austin, to Elton and the late Betty (Wadsworth) Montgomery. She graduated from Graham High School and attended the University of Texas.

Cynthia married the love of her life, Roy Tiernan, on May 10, 2002.

Cynthia was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin, friend and “Nana” to her four grandchildren. This is her legacy-that she loved her family above all else, unconditionally. She embodied strength, generosity and unfailing devotion to everyone and she will be missed and in our hearts forever.

Cynthia is survived by her husband, Roy Tiernan, of Roanoke; daughters, Traci Houston and husband, Bill, of Grandview; Ami Roberson and husband, Mike, of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Lucy Houston, Sydney Houston, Meredith Houston and Parker Roberson; father, Elton Montgomery and wife, Tommye Ann, of Graham; brother, Clint Montgomery and wife, Roxann, of Keller; sister, Tami Greer and husband, Jeff, of New Braunfels; sister-in-law, Linda Tiernan Criss of Waynesburg, PA; stepson, Patrick Tiernan of Tucson, AZ; stepdaughter, Amber Tiernan of Austin; several nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts, and an uncle also survive.
