Dan J. Heard, age 90, died at his home on Lake McQueeney Jan. 7, 2020 while surrounded by his family. Dan was born on the farm in rural Lamb County north of Littlefield in the Texas Panhandle on June 5, 1929.

He is preceded in death by a son, Leslie Edward Heard.

He is survived by his wife of seventy years, the former Oma Dee McCormick. He is also survived by his daughter Pam White and husband Walter, son Danny Heard and wife Jill, nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held Friday, Jan. 10, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Goetz Funeral Home in Seguin. Funeral services were held on Saturday, Jan. 11, at 2 p.m. at McQueeney Baptist Church with interment following at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park.
