Donald Patrick Blair

Fri, 01/14/2022 - 12:38 pm

Donald Patrick Blair, 58, of Mineral Wells passed away on Dec. 12, 2021. He valued his family, deeply loved his wife, Marily who was everything to him. Don was so proud of his kids and grandkids, and he would do anything, humanly possible for them. He was a good listener, made everyone feel comfortable enough to open up to him, and supported you no matter your social status, right or wrong doings. Don was the MOST NON judgmental person you could ever know.

He loved everyone and was certainly loved by everyone in return. He loved to help people in general. Don certainly loved to have fun and get a little wild sometimes. With quick wit, the love to be silly, always up for a good time, Don was always the life of the party! He was unforgettable type of person that would stamp a good memory in your heart for a lifetime. His little sister stated, “He always made us laugh growing up which made things easier for us kids.”

Don was a huge part of outreach ministries, attempted to help the less fortunate and give them some hope in their sometimes seemingly impossible situations. He spent most of his adult life doing that. He spent time as a youth pastor, singles pastor, business administration and he was a BEAST of a salesman of cars and real estate. Don was predeceased by his mother, Stella Florine Milam, father Gerald Parker Blair, sister, Mildred Blair and on Thanksgiving Day 2021 the love of his life, Marily Blair passed away. Don leaves behind his two children; Jaimi Blair and Nicholas Blair; eight grandkids; Daniel Gurley, Riley Gurley, Avree Gurley, Spencer Blair, Journey Blair, Brinlee Blair, Tristin Thompson and Deana Thompson; mom Peggy Blair; siblings Eddie Woodruff, Paula Dowling, Jimmy Blair, Betty Blair and Barbara Scarbrough.

A memorial service celebrating Don’s life is scheduled for 3 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 15, 2022, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
