Dottie Lue Rogers

Dottie Lue Rogers, 86, of Denton, went to be with her Lord Friday, Feb. 8, 2019 at her home in Denton. She was reunited with the love of her life, Oris and her grandson Bradley Gonzalez.

Mrs. Rogers was born on June 12, 1932 in South Bend to Clarence V. and Lennie B. (Roark) Laquey. She was married to Oris J. Rogers on Aug. 21, 1951 in Graham; he passed away on May 12, 2009. She was a member of Towne North Baptist Church for over fifty years and was an Assistant County Clerk for Denton County.

Dottie is survived by her daughters, Ida Sue Gonzalez and husband Andy of Waxahachie, Judy Rogers of Aubrey, Sheila Simbeck and husband John of Lewisville; sons, Wayne Rogers and wife Diana of Mineral Wells, Brent Rogers and wife Jami of Garrett, and surrogate daughter Barbie Brooks; sisters, Sue Williams of Throckmorton, Margie Ashley of Graham; Aunt Nancy Jones of Lingleville; many nieces, cousins, including DeeAnn Justus of Denton, and so many other loved ones; seventeen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to Noon with the funeral following at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 13 at Towne North Baptist Church, 526 Hercules, Ln., Denton. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
