Edward Dee May left his earthly home for his heavenly home on Nov. 20, 2017. Ed was born in Phoenix, Ariz., on Sept. 5, 1937. He died peacefully in his home in Granbury with his wife and son by his side. Ed graduated high school in 1955, then joined the U.S. Navy in November 1955. He served two years active duty and two years inactive. He was self-employed for many years in the trucking and cattle business and owned other properties including a strip shopping center in Granbury. He loved his time fishing and four-wheeling in Colorado where he and his wife owned property for several years and spent their summers. He also thoroughly enjoyed working on his acreage at his home. Ed is survived by his loving, devoted wife, Shirley; son, Patrick and wife Belinda, of Graham; step-children, Kathy and husband Hal, and Jill, all of Mansfield, and Doug and wife Susanne, of Eugene, Ore.; brother, Lee and wife Deborah, of San Rafael, Calif.; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dee Wesley May and Oma Nesbitt May, of Phoenix. In lieu of flowers please donate to your choice of charities.
