Edward Harrell

Edward Harrell, 90, passed away Saturday, Feb. 23, 2019 at his home in Graham. Funeral will be Tuesday, Feb. 26 at 11 a.m. in the First United Methodist Church.  Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home. 

Edward was born May 6, 1928 in Southbend to the late Madison Dodd “Matt” Harrell and Beulah Edna Hammond Harrell.  He attended school in Southbend and Graham. Edward joined the U. S. Navy at the age of 17. He served on the USS McNair and USS Kidd during World War II. Edward was a retired employee of the Texas Electric Power Plant and a member of First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include; wife of 71 years, Leta Harrell of Graham; daughter, Pam Erwin and husband Aaron of Graham; sons, Freddie Harrell of Euless and Ronnie Harrell and wife Karon of Graham; sister-in-law, Christine Harrell Reed of Kountze; grandchildren, Lisa McGehee, Virgil Willis, Aaron Erwin, Jr. and wife Amy, Laura Kay Grayson and husband Will, and Frankie Erwin and wife Taylor; eight great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren; also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Edward was preceded in death by daughter, Jean Adams, great grandson, Awetry Erwin, and siblings, M.D. Harrell, Almeda Lowe, Mae Edna Slice, Paul Harrell, James Harrell, and Howard Harrell.

Family Visitation will be Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home.
