Edwina Monroe, 55, of Olney, passed away Monday, May 30, 2016, in Olney, Texas.  Edwina was born Dec. 28, 1960, in Grapevine, Texas, to Ira E. Wilkerson and Mattie Lois Edmonds.  

Edwina is survived by her son, David and wife Christine Monroe of Aubrey, Texas; two daughters, Patty and husband Kerry Kelley of Fort Worth, Texas, Sherrie Monroe of Garland, Texas; three grandchildren, Candice and Kaitlin Gibson, and Kerry “Bubba” Kelley; great-grandchild, Brody Gibson; three sisters, Mary Wilkerson of Graham, Texas, Katherine Johnson of Onalaska, Texas, and Lena Dawson of Graham, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Edwina was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Laurie Monroe; and two sisters, Deborah Casimir and Lois Dempsey.

Visitation was at 10 a.m., Friday, June 3, 2016, at Slay Memorial Chapel of Aubrey with a funeral service following at 11 a.m.  Rev. Luther Slay officiated.  Burial was at Belew Cemetery in Aubrey, Texas.  Online condolences may be shared at www.slaymemorialfuneralhome.com.
