Fulton Melvin Manley

Fulton Melvin Manley, 94, of Loving, Texas, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2016. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, June 17, 2016, at Morrison Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Loving Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.


Fulton was born Nov. 7, 1921, in Jerome, Arkansas, to the late Monroe Franklin and Nettie Mae (Wilhelm) Manley, Sr. He married Linnie Marie Poole Sept. 18, 1947, in Medford, Oregon. She preceded him in death on March 25, 2008.


Fulton was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served on the USS Jarvis as a gunner. He moved to Loving in 1986 from Portland, Oregon. Fulton was a member of the Loving Baptist Church and was retired having been employed in heavy construction.


Survivors are his grandchildren, Bobby Joe Millirons, Jr., Jim Wayne Millirons, Rhonda Ann McKenzie and Fulton Ross Millirons; nieces, Gail Christensen and husband Chuck of Loving,  Jewell Wilkinson of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Shari Grimes of Pahrump, Nevada; nephew, Mike Grimes and wife Pam of LaPine, Oregon; and  numerous other relatives.


 Fulton was preceded in death by daughter, Bonita Dietz, and a nephew, Melvin Grimes.


Visitation will be Thursday 6 until 8 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home.


Memorials may be made to the Loving Cemetery Association.
