Helen Ann Browning, 77, of Graham passed away Monday, Aug. 15, 2016. Graveside services are 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 18, at the Downing Cemetery, with Karl Baker officiating. Services under the direction of Higginbotham Funeral Home in Gorman. Helen was born April 2, 1939 in Gorman, to R.V. Lesley and Audrey (Patton) Lesley. She graduated from De Leon High School in 1957. She married Woodrow Browning on Nov. 18, 1960. They had three children, Donna Gatlin, Susan Browning and Gary Browning. Helen worked as secretary/tax collector for Gorman ISD for 20 years. She was a longtime member of the Kokomo Baptist Church, where she taught children’s Sunday school and played the piano. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Gatlin and husband, Gary, of Graham; son, Gary Browning and wife, Rebecca, of Graham; five grandchildren, Lesley Hoffman and husband, Thomas, of Alaska, Melanie Baker and husband, Karl, of Belton, and Emily Browning, Garrett Gatlin and Lance Browning, all of Graham; and two brothers, Wayland Lesley and wife, Wanda, of 
Lampasas and Dwain Lesley of Round Rock. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan; her parents; and her husband, Woodrow Browning.
