Herbert Henry Stockton, 89, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2018 at home in Graham. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 20, at 10 a.m. in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at 3 p.m. in Buffalo Gap Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home. Herbert was born Dec. 18, 1928 in Buffalo Gap, to the late Charles Wesley and Lena Myrtle (Ellinger) Stockton. He married Joyce Ross in 1952 in County Line, Okla., and she preceded him in death in 2000. Herbert was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a retired Dallas firefighter. He moved to Graham in 2003 from Buffalo Gap and was a member of First Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include her daughter, Sheree Hayes and husband, Pastor Gaylord Hayes of Graham; son, Henry "Biff" Stockton and wife, Vicki of Graham; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Saturday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
