H.L. "Mitch" Mitchell, 79, passed away Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017 in Graham. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2017 at 2 p.m. in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home. Mitch was born July 29, 1937 in Tioga, La., to the late William Howard and Mary Katherine (Herrin) Mitchell. He married Betsy Ann Maberry on June 2, 1962 in McCaulley. Mitch was a veteran of the Air Force and owner of Red Snapper Rentals. Survivors include his wife, Betsy Mitchell, of Graham; daughter, Michele Grimsley, of Graham; grandchildren, Rachel and Ryan Grimsley, both of Graham; nieces, Melody DeLong, of Graham, and Kim Dyess, of Fort Worth; and nephew, James Pettus, of Florida. He was preceded in death by a sister, Pansy Pettus, and a brother, Carl Mitchell. Memorials may be made to Graham Meals on Wheels.
