James Chester Rhodes, Jr. was born on Dec. 28, 1960 to James Chester Rhodes, Sr. and Claudia (McMinn) Rhodes in Graham, Texas. He went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 in Wichita Falls, Texas at 60 years of age.

James married Sherry Willis on Jan. 1, 1986 in Jacksboro, Texas. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Jacksboro, Texas, and owned and operated Rhodes Tank Trucks Inc. since March 16, 1999. He will be greatly missed by those who loved and knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Jamie Kay Johnson.

Among those who will cherish his memory include his wife, Sherry Rhodes; two children, Shelly Odom and husband Jonathan of Bryson, Texas and Jonathan Rhodes of Bryson, Texas; four grandchildren, Violet, John, and David Odom and Alexander Rhodes; sister, Janie West and husband James; and many other extended family members and friends.

A visitation will be held from 6 p.m. - 7 p.m. Friday, May 21, 2021, at Coker Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, May 22, 2021, at Coker Funeral Home with burial following at Oakwood Cemetery.
