James Robert “Jim” Kennedy, 82, passed away Thursday, Dec. 23, 2021. Visitation is scheduled Monday, Dec. 27, 2021, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home.

Graveside funeral will be scheduled for Jan. 3, 2022, at 3 p.m. at Veale Creek Cemetery on Possum Kingdom Lake. 

Jim was born July 5, 1939, in Buffalo Valley, Oklahoma, to the late RD “Boss” and Mary Crin Kennedy.  Jim was preceded in death by his parents, his spouse Ann Kennedy, his brother Larry Kennedy, and sons Mike and Gary Jennings.  Jim was a former resident of Lubbock where he worked as a Civil Engineer.  Jim was also a rancher in Ropesville, TX.

Survivors include; companion, Kathy Hallgrimson of Possum Kingdom Lake and son Mark Jennings; daughter, Delise Robinson of Austin; brother, Johnny Kennedy and wife Laverne of Buffalo Valley, Okla.; sister-in-law, Regina Kennedy of Oklahoma; also surviving are several grandchildren, great grandchildren and his lake family.

Jim loved big, was loved big by all who knew him and will be missed dearly.
