Jerry Lake

Jerry Lake was born in Graham on Aug. 5, 1941, and she went to be with Lord on March 9, 2022. A graveside service was held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, at Cottonwood Cemetery in Bryson. Visitation was held Wednesday from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. prior to the service at McMillan-Satterwhite Funeral Home.

Jerry lived in Bryson and graduated from BISD in 1959, then went on to Abilene Christian University. After graduation, Jerry secured a position as a Records Auditor with the West Texas Rehabilitation Center in Abilene, where she worked for over 60 years. Every year, Jerry donated school supplies for children in Bryson, and she purchased new clothes and toys each year at Christmas and Easter and gave them to any child that needed them. Jerry devoted her life to helping others.

Jerry was a kind lady with a big heart whose actions spoke much louder than words and will be dearly missed. Jerry was proceeded in death by her twin brother, Joe Lake, grandparents, Joe and Florence Clayton, and her mother, Nellie B. Bryson.

Jerry is survived by her sister, Henrietta Bryson, sister-in-law Nelda Lake, nephews Joe Lake and his wife Janine, Wade Lake and his wife Susan, Jimmy Lake and his wife Kristi. Great nephews: Tully, Britt, Clint, Monty, and Kody. Great nieces Elysia, Bethany, Haley, and Balinda.
