Jim Edward Williams, Sr. was born on May 14, 1935 in Graham, Texas, to Charlie and Dora Frances Rinks Williams. On June 14, 1955, he married Paula Tucker in Graham, Texas. Jim lived in Graham until he was 30 years old, when he moved to South Bend, Indiana. He served as a Deacon and worked with the youth for many years at Donmoyer Church of Christ in South Bend, Indiana. For two years, he served in the DPS and for 12 years, he was a constable in Young County. Jim moved to Katy in 1979 and was a member of the Katy Church of Christ. He was a volunteer firefighter for 35 years and was integral in forming the West I-10 Fire Department. He was also a security guard at Cinco Ranch Junior High.

Jim Edward Williams, Sr. passed away on Thursday, Feb. 17, 2022, in Katy, at the age of 86.

He is survived by his children, Elizabeth Frances “Beth” Koonce of Sealy, and Charlie Williams and his wife Sandy of Katy; four grandchildren, Katherine, Kristina, Rebecca, and Joshua; and five great grandchildren, Corbin, Trey, Kinley, Grant, and Grace. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Jim Edward Williams, Jr.; and his wife, Paula Williams.
