John Franklin (Frank) Moore

John Franklin (Frank) Moore passed away Jan. 27, 2020 at his home in Graham. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31, at the Eastside Church of Christ in Graham. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, at the Haven of Rest Cemetery in Cee Vee. Family visitation was from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 30, at McMillan-Satterwhite Funeral Home.

Frank was born Dec. 31, 1942 in Snyder. He was a graduate of Abilene Christian College and was a retired coach and teacher. He was a member of the Eastside Church of Christ in Graham.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Moore of Graham; daughter, Ann Smith and husband Doug; two sons, Michael Moore and Dustin Moore and wife Shae; five grandchildren, Bryson and Bailey Smith, Liam, Emilia and Hunter Moore; two nieces, Melody Casey and husband Mark and Monique Berggren and husband Randy; two nephews, Mitch Moore and wife Julie, Brett Hoffman and wife Christi.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Bonita Moore, and his brother, Doyce (Dusty) Moore and Dusty’s wife Glenda.

Frank was well liked by his students and various members of the community. Many former students still fondly refer to him as “Coach Moore.” Frank cared deeply about his family and spent most of his free time spoiling his five grandchildren.  In his latter years Coach Moore spent many days strolling around Walmart bringing cheer and encouragement to employees and patrons alike.
