Joyce Ann Beard passed away July 14, 2020 at her home near Graham. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 25, at Oak Street Baptist Church in Graham. McMillan-Satterwhite Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Joyce was born Oct. 31, 1951 in Graham to Estes Josiah and Marcell (Stephenson) Wadley. Joyce was a member of the Oak Street Baptist Church in Graham.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years, William Donovan (Don) Beard; two sons, Dustin Beard and life partner Ivan Gaitan, Matthew Beard and wife Deborah Chase; two grandchildren, Peyton Beard and Andrew Beard and two brothers, Joe Wadley and wife Lynda and Larry Wadley and wife Georgia. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents and by a brother, Gary Wadley.
