Joyce Ellen Shumate passed away Nov. 6, 2016 in Wichita Falls. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11, at McMillan-Satterwhite Funeral Home in Graham, with Mark Bumpus and Richard Segars officiating. Ellen was born Sept. 21, 1931 in Fort Smith, Ark., to Marshall Frank and Rutha Nunn. She moved to Graham in 1982 from Odessa. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Graham. Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Joe Shumate of Graham; son, Bryan Shumate and wife Shirley of Voca; daughter, Linda Millican and husband Homer of Odessa; five grandchildren, Shelly Leann Willis, Rebecca Diane Shumate, Ivan Williams, Jodi Hoffman and Angela Moore, and seven great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Red Springs Baptist Church, 11188 FM 2069, Seymour, TX  76380 or to the First Baptist Church of Graham, 620 Fourth St., Graham, TX 76450.
