He was born in Young County on July 10, 1938 to Ben and Dorothy Andrews. He was raised in the First Baptist Church.  He attended Graham High School and graduated in 1956. During his high school years, he earned the designation of Eagle Scout and was awarded the Lone Star Farmer Degree by the Texas Association of Future Farmers of America.

Ken attended the University of Texas and joined the Silver Spurs in 1959 where he cared for Bevo VII. He earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1962 and his Juris Doctorate in 1964. He was a proud Texas Ex and rarely missed a UT sporting event on television.

Ken returned to Graham in 1965 where he began practicing law and continued until his death. He married Mary Sanderson in December of 1970. He had a deep commitment to the Graham and served as County Attorney, County Judge, Rotary Club President, member of the Young County Bar Association, the Board of Graham Savings & Loan, Elder and Deacon at the First Presbyterian Church and the Young County Democrats. He was a lifelong farmer and rancher.

He is survived by his two daughters, Jennifer and Katherine, and their families as well as extended family members and friends. His grandchildren filled him with tremendous joy in the last years of his life. He is preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Mary, his father, Ben, and mother, Dorothy.

A private graveside service under the direction of McMillan-Satterwhite Funeral Home was held at his request ending with “The Eyes of Texas are Upon You.”

The family would like to thank Beyond Faith Health Care and Clear Path Home Care for the support they gave to Ken which enabled him to live at home with his cats.

Memorials can be made to the Ken Andrews Scholarship Fund at Graham Savings & Loan which will allow him to continue his support of Graham High School students in achieving a college education.
