Kerry Dean Sanders

Kerry Dean Sanders, 36, passed away in Decatur on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2019. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 26, at the Eagle Drive Baptist Church in Decatur. Burial will follow in the Albany cemetery in Albany. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Kerry was born on March 23, 1983 in Brownwood, to Jerry Sanders and Pamela Hall Sanders. He graduated from Bryson High School and attended TSTC Sweetwater. He was a cherished member of the Eagle Drive Baptist Church family. Kerry was always the life of the party with his witty jokes and outgoing personality, you could not be in the same room as him without laughing. He and his son, Tucker, were constantly in competition of who could tell the best jokes. He adored his children and tried to be as involved as possible in their lives. He coached many little league teams throughout the years as well as just about every other sport that the kids decided to try out. Kerry was a big fitness buff and was dubbed the “Mayor of Fit-n-Wise” at his home gym. When he was not at the gym or with his kids he could be found loving on his k-9 son, Kreed.

Kerry is survived by his children, Gracie Thompson, of Paradise and Tucker Sanders, of Paradise; mother, Pam Sanders, of Bryson; close friend, Jasmine Stark, of Paradise; brother, JV Sanders and wife Christine, of Sweeney, and twin brother, Wayne Sanders and wife Davin, of East Africa; and nephews, Tyler Sanders, Jerry Sanders, Bryson Sanders, Tristan Sanders, Jasper Sanders, Miles Sanders, and Soren Sanders.

Kerry was preceded in death by his dad, Jerry Dean Sanders on Jan. 5, 2004.

Visitation was held Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
