Larie Reger, 91, passed away in her home in South Bend on July 21, 2020. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 23, at 9 a.m. in Lyons Cemetery in Eliasville. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Larie was born on Jan. 10, 1929 in Young County, Texas to Elbert Robinson and Fannie Nicholson Robinson. She attended Graham High School. On Sept. 20, 1946 she married the love of her life, Fern Estelle Reger. Together, they welcomed their son, Steve Reger. Larie was an active member of her community, she served as treasurer of South Bend/Eliasville Fire Department, was involved in the South Bend Quilting Club, and taught Sunday school at the South Bend Baptist Church. She was a devoted housewife and mother. She loved cooking. Her passion was serving others.

Larie is survived by her husband of 73 years, Fern Reger of South Bend; son, Steve Reger of South Bend; sisters, Evelyn McGee of Wichita Falls, Trena Lindsey of Throckmorton, Frances Jeffrey of Bedford; brothers, Gordon Robinson of Pittsburg, and Danny Robinson of Grandy, Mo.; grandchildren, Melody Parker and husband Andy of Graham, and Hope Reger of Throckmorton; and great grandchildren, Rylee Moore, Teagan Parker, and Larissa Warren.
