Leslye A. Beckham

Leslye A. Beckham, 50, passed away Saturday, May 29, 2021, in Graham. Graveside funeral will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at Pioneer Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Leslye was born Nov. 24, 1970, in Olney, to Randall Ernest Beckham and the late Susan Ann (Bishop) Beckman. She graduated from Graham High School and attended North Texas State and Texas A&M. Leslye played the saxophone and keyboard and was in the Flag Corp in high school. She was an EMT and worked with the fire departments in Graham, Herkimer, NY. and Terlingua, TX. She was the project manager and graphic designer for the Terlingua, Fort Davis and Taos NM horse stables. She loved riding horses in the Big Bend area and canoeing in the Rio Grande. Leslye catered and was a talented cake decorator.

Survivors include; sisters, Joy Petersen of Camp Lejeune, NC, Darla Dusseau of Bedford, and Randi Beckham of Graham; father, Randall Beckham and wife Carla of Graham; grandmothers, Bobbie Bishop and Mary Reed of Graham; aunts, Kay Willis and husband Coy, Paula Glen and husband Kent; nephews, Gavin Dusseau, Tyler, Cody, and Easton Petersen; niece, Aspen Petersen.

Thank you to Graham Oaks Care Center and Solaris for so much loving care. Leslye leaves behind many friends and her best friend Buddy.

Leslye was preceded in death by her mother, Susan Huddleston, grandparents, Earnest and Ann Bishop, Paul and Betty Beckham and great grandparents, Evelyn Roberts and Earnest and Lena Bishop.

Leslye’s passion was for her rescue dogs, the family asks that donations be made to Humane Society of Young County, 120 Craig Street, Graham, TX. 76450.

The Family will greet visitors Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home.
