Marie Hannah passed away peacefully Monday, Dec. 2, 2019 in Graham.

Marie was born Jan. 16, 1933 in Graham, Texas to Fred and Lena Walker. She was raised in the Graham area. On Sept. 17, 1948, she married Raymond D. Hannah.

Marie had many passions. She was a talented artist, enjoyed crafting, ceramics, sewing, gardening and befriending animals, tame & wild, but most of all she loved her family and was fondly referred to as “Me Maw” by her grandchildren, great grand children, family and friends who knew her well. She was also a proud worthy matron of Masonic Lodge 688.

While living in Graham, Marie and Raymond spent several years building their dream home near Fort Belknap. Marie’s friends and family have many fond memories of her wonderful cooking, artistry talents and sense of humor.

Survivors include son, Derrell Hannah of Proffitt, daughters, Anita Miller and husband Kurt of Southlake, Leslie Qualman and husband Al of Arlington, granddaughters, Meredith Miller of Redondo Beach, Calif., Ashley Rogers and husband Adam of Bentonville, Arkansas, Brooke Qualman of Brooklyn, New York and Haley Qualman of Houston and great granddaughters Isabella and Elizabeth Rogers, soon-to-be great grandson Nash Miller, and sister Mildred and her husband Norman “Cotton” Shepherd.

Marie was preceded in death by her husband Raymond D. Hannah, father Fred Walker, mother Lena Walker, sister Mary Lee Brooks, two brothers James Walker, and Charles Walker, and grandson Jeff Miller.

The family would like to thank dear friends Steve Lubs and Heather Alley for spending time with Me Maw and surrounding her with love. Gratitude is also given to the staff of Beyond Faith and Garden Terrace for their loving care of Marie.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made in Marie’s name to the Humane Society of Young County, Graham.

A celebration of life is pending with Morrison Funeral Home.
