Marshall Tyson Nickols

Marshall Tyson Nickols, 76, passed away Sunday morning, Oct. 21, 2018. He passed peacefully at home with his wife, Mary Gail, at his side. He was a former resident of Graham from 1972 to 1999.

Marshall was born July 7, 1942 in Goldthwaite to the late James Nickols and Ethel Nickols. He grew up in Goldthwaite until the family moved to Graham around 1953. He later moved to Seminole with his older brother the late Wesley Nickols. He married Mary Gail Watkins in Seminole on May 28, 1960. Marshall worked at and owned a tire repair gas station in Seminole until he and Mary Gail moved to Graham in 1972. In Graham, he worked in the construction industry and own an operated a contracting and cabinet shop. Like his father James, Marshall was active in Little League Baseball in Graham. In 1999 he moved to Arlington to be closer to his three sons and grandchildren. In Arlington, Marshall was a member of the New World United Methodist Church.

Survivors include: wife Mary Gail Nickols of Arlington, sons Lynn, Tray and Bruce and their wives-all who live in the DFW area, along with many grand children who live in Georgetown and the DFW area, as well as cousin Philip Guy Nickols who grew up in Goldthwaite and currently resides in Clearwater, Fla.
