Marvin Dalton passed away Friday, June 16, 2017 at his home, surrounded by family. A visitation will be held Sunday, June 18, at 6:30 p.m. in Morrison Funeral Home and a honorary service by Pastor Joe Finfrock at 7 p.m., followed by a rosary and vigil led by Father Eugene of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be held Monday, May 19, at 1 p.m. in St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.  Marvin Dalton was born Sept. 25, 1928, in Graham, to the late Robert Samuel and Bertha Mae Dalton. There are so many ways of honoring the character of Marvin Dalton. He was a man who was loved by all and set the bar high on how to love and cherish one's family. His legacy will remain throughout generations. He was devoted not only to his family, but his country. He spent 20 years in the Army serving his country, and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Marvin was survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Joann Dalton; also his daughters, Debbie Shifflett, Vickie Newell, Anna Fellows and husband, Alan Fellows, Rena Fore and husband, David Fore, all of Graham; niece, Linda Graham of Phoenix; and sister, Margaret Boldt of Irving; nine grandsons and one granddaughter, James Shifflett and wife, Marrissa; Terry Jr. Shifflett and wife, Anna, Jason Fellows and fiancee, Adora Evans, Scott Newell and wife, Carla, Grew Newell and wife, Jean Marie, Adrian Fellows and wife, Angela, Robert Fore and wife, Leslie, Michael Fellows and wife, Daniella, Brian Fore and wife, Julie, and Abby Fore; and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved son-in-Law, Terry Ray Shifflett. The family request that memorials be made to the Rathgerber House of Wichita Falls.
