Mary Alice (Bryson) King

Mary Alice (Bryson) King went to be with the Lord on Monday, Nov. 23, 2020. She was 87. A graveside service was held Wednesday, Nov. 25 at 2 p.m. at Cottonwood Cemetery in Bryson Texas. McMillan-Satterwhite Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. King was born Oct. 17, 1933 in Bryson Texas to the late Henry Bryson and Mary Bryson. She was a graduate of Bryson High School, worked as a Cosmetologist, and spent most of her life farming and ranching. She was a member of Bryson Church of Christ, where she brought many people to the Lord worldwide. She was a wonderful, Christian example to her family. She often told her children “I can do any job a man can do as well as any job a woman can do.” She taught them to be self-sufficient, and strong. She spent most of her life in the Bryson and Graham area. Mrs. King had a large family and loved spending time with them. She will be dearly missed.

Mrs. King is survived by two sons, Doug King, and wife Charlotte: Kenny King and husband Joe. Three Daughters: Carol Shough and husband Larry, Janet King, and Valerie King Kondracki. Two sisters; Peggy Epperson, and Henrietta Sontag. Thirteen grandchildren, Mandy Foster, Matt Martin, Nevaeh Shough, Embyr Shough, Cortney Trammel, Ashley Stephens, Sadie Lemmon, Allison Jobe, Betsy Figg, Cady Ruiz, Bryson Kondracki, Kendall Ash, Christian Kondracki, and 26 great-grandchildren and counting.

She was preceded in death by her Husband, Tony King, three sisters, Annie Wilson, Nina Sheets, Ethelda Van Winkle: as well as two grandsons, Jake King and Garrett King.
