Mary Ann Ferguson, 80, passed away on Oct. 7, 2019 in Midland. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 18, at First Baptist Church of Possum Kingdom.

Ann was born in Floydada and attended school there, before marrying the love of her life, Ray Gene Ferguson, on Feb. 2, 1957. Although Ann had clerical jobs at the Floyd County Court House and Floydada Coop Gin, her true calling was as a wife and mother. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, cooking, and "lake life" with her family.

Like her mother before her, Ann was known for her delicious hot rolls and was always eager to share. In retirement, Ann stayed involved in her community and church, always looking for an opportunity to pitch in. Travel, game nights, and ladies' clubs were always favorite activities. She was known for her outgoing personality and truly never met a stranger! Ann's passion for being a mother was only exceeded by her joy of becoming Mimi to her grandchildren. Always their biggest fan, she could be found at various sporting events, parties, or graduations. She stayed supportive and involved, as long as her health allowed.

Ann is preceded in death by her husband Ray Gene, brother Billy Finley, daughter and son-in-law Leanne and Bob Jamison and son-in-law Kevin Reker. Ann is survived by brother George Finley and wife Eva, daughter Kelli Reker, granddaughter Emily Reker, grandson Adam Reker and wife Kelsey, granddaughter MaryCastaneda and husband Samuel and great grandson Beau Reker. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to First Baptist Church of Possum Kingdom. The family of Ann wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the dedicated people of Manor Park and Star Hospice for their love and care.
