Mary Louise Hanna

Mary Louise Hanna, 91, went to be with her Lord and beloved husband, Willard, on Sept. 3, 2016, in Jacksboro. Mary was born Dec. 31, 1924, to Thomas and Mattie Horton in Jack County. Mary married the love of her life, Willard Hanna, on Oct. 8, 1941. For the next four years, Mary would follow her Navy sailor by train, plane or bus. They spent 63 years together on a ranch in Squaw Mountain where they labored side by side to work their ranch and raise their family. Mary was a devoted and faithful member of the Church of Christ in Jacksboro for many years. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, three brothers, two sisters and two daughters. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Sarah Bratcher of Jacksboro; her son, Charles Hanna and wife Billie of Graham; 12 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren, 8-1/2 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. Visitation was Tuesday, Sept. 6, at Coker Funeral Home in Jacksboro. Funeral services are Wednesday, Sept. 7, at 2 p.m. at the Church of Christ in Jacksboro, with Jeff Sweeten officiating. Burial will follow at Lynn Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers include all 12 of Mary's grandchildren: Joe Lake, Jim Means, Carrie Davis, Carla Peace, Bethany Franklin, Hanna Reynolds, Missy Bryant, Susan Neal, Sheila Rubel, Ricky Busch, Bubba Busch and Tana Carr.
