Mattie Rose Upham, age 80, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2022, in Graham. Funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at The Cowboy Church of Young County. Burial followed in Gooseneck Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Mattie was born Feb. 20, 1942 in Haskell to Jim and Argie (Wright) McFadden. Mattie married James “Jim” Upham in Mineral Wells on Aug. 11, 1980, he preceded her in death on Nov. 17, 2017. Mattie worked as a beautician for many years.

Mattie is survived by her children, Sherry Whitmire and husband Jimmie of Graford, Calvin Todd and wife Julene of Wyoming, Becky Elliott and husband Woodie of Graham, LaVon Baker and husband Randy of Graham, and Rodney Todd and wife Cyndi of Portland, TX; brothers, James McFadden and wife Carol of Haskell, and Marvin McFadden and wife Becky of Fort Worth; 12 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, and a granddaughter, Jennifer Elliott Rickert.
