M.K. Weatherbee passed away Aug. 10, 2016 in Abilene. A graveside service was held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 15, at Pioneer Cemetery in Graham, followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Graham. McMillan-Satterwhite Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. M.K. was born Nov. 17, 1923 in Young County, and lived in Graham most of his life. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. M.K. was an avid shooter, golfer and bowler and was a Graham volunteer fireman for many years. He was a deacon at Bethel Baptist Church in Graham for more than 50 years and was a founder of Bethel Day Care. Survivors include two sons, Darrell Weatherbee and wife, Lana, and Glenn Weatherbee and wife, Jane; two daughters, Reba Fox and husband, James, and Janice Evans; 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; and good friends, Sherri and Joe Edd Chandler. He was preceded in death by his wife, Flo; a son, Paul Weatherbee; a grandson, Shane Weatherbee; a granddaughter, Cynthia Evans Morrison; a great-grandson, Trei Norris; and a son-in-law, Norman Evans.
