Monica "Nana" Hancock Rippin, 78, surrounded by family and friends, passed away Thursday, Aug. 3, 2017 in Graham. Funeral services will be Monday, Aug. 7, at 10 a.m. at Graham Bible Church. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. in Elmwood Cemetery in Bowie. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home. Monica was born Feb. 5, 1939 in Newport, Texas, to the late Chris Boedecker and Ouida Lemons Hancock. She married Charles "Rip" Rippin, March 5, 1965 in Bowie.He preceded her in death on Feb. 1, 2010. Monica was a Realtor in Fort Worth for many years and homemaker. She volunteered at the Old Post Office Museum for five years and was a resident of Graham for 14 years. Survivors include her daughter, Jill Paschal and husband, J.W., of Graham; son, Mike Morrison of Graham; sister, Sue Hancock Swint and husband, Paul, of Bowie; grandchildren, Meagan, Nathan, C.J. and Stephen Paschal, Savannah Morrison and Christie Rippin; nieces and nephews, Kristy Whiddon and husband, Gary, Joshua Bailey Swint and wife, Robin, and their children. Monica was preceded in death by a nephew, Stephen Matthew Swint, and a niece, Paula Jeanette Swint. The family will be at Morrison Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 6, to receive friends.
