Paradise ~ Nelda Rie McBride, 73, a retired LVN and homemaker, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2019 in Paradise.

Funeral was Saturday, Dec. 21, at First Baptist Church in Boyd with burial in Cottondale Cemetery. Family received friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport.

Dr. Joe Wooddell and Bro. Josh Fowler will officiate. Pallbearers include Jed Ford, Darin Ford, Dan Heger, Jeff Ford, Les Hill, and Shawn Meissner. Honorary pallbearers are James Miller, David Hill and Kevin Turner.

Nelda was born on Jan. 6, 1946 to William Grady and Imarie (Smith) Ford in Fort Worth. She was united in marriage to Larry Wendell McBride on Jan. 12, 1964 in Boyd.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Bobby Ford; and her son, William Arlon McBride.

Those left behind to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 55 years, Larry McBride of Paradise; her sons, Michael McBride and wife Teresa of Paradise, David McBride and wife Dalia of Graham, Terry McBride and wife Shani of Graham; her 12 grandchildren, Connor, Collin, Corbin, Matthew, Christopher, Ashley, Aaron, Kimberly, Bethany, Joshua, Grady, and Jasmine; eight great grandchildren; her brother, Arlon Ford and wife Reta of Weatherford; and her sister in law, Carol Meissner of Houston.
