Norman D. Stovall, Jr.

Norman D. Stovall, Jr., 92, passed away peacefully at his home Tuesday, June 22, 2021. Funeral was 9 a.m. Thursday, June 24, 2021, at First United Methodist Church Graham. Burial followed at a later time in Oak Grove Cemetery in Graham. Arrangements were under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Norman was born Feb. 25, 1929, in Graham to the late Louise (Graham) Stovall and Norman Dunbar Stovall. He graduated from Graham High School and Rice University. Norman was a Veteran of the United States Navy where he served as a Naval Aviator. He married Eleanor “Tinka” Frohlich on Oct. 15, 1954 in Elizabeth City, NC. Norman was a lifetime resident of Graham where he was an Oil and Gas Producer and Rancher. He was an active member of First United Methodist Church Graham.

Survivors include; wife, Tinka Stovall of Graham; sons, Norman D. Stovall, III and wife Carli of Graham, Mike Stovall and wife Leslie of Graham; daughter, Martha Martin and husband David of PK Lake; grandchildren, Sarah Stovall, Norman Stovall, IV and wife Dylan, Suzette Stovall, Zoe Stovall, Vos Stovall, Sheridan Gaton and husband Austin, Peyton Stovall, Caroline Howard and husband Tyler, and Garrison Stovall; six great grandchildren; sisters, Melinda Guinn of Arlington and Martha Bennett of Graham; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Pallbearers were be Kirk Bennett, Rob Bennett, Cam Bennett, Jimmy Guinn, Bob Antle, and Scott Sherrard.
