Patsy Gay Montgomery passed away Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2018 in Fort Worth. Patsy was born April 15, 1931 in Iowa Park, to Thelma and Otis Gay. Patsy attended Iowa Park High School and graduated from Texas Wesleyan College in Fort Worth. Patsy met Joe Montgomery in Fort Worth and they married in 1952. Joe was offered employment with Graridge in 1957 and the young family of four moved to Graham. It is here, in this unique small town they raised their four children and spent 65 wonderful years together. “Nannie” was an amazing mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her time with her family and Joe was always precious. She was an active member of Samaritans and United Methodist Women at First United Methodist Church and various other community organizations. Patsy taught in Graham for many years and touched lives of students who continued to keep in touch with her over the years. One of her many joys in life was getting to see her ex-students blossom and grow into adulthood. She always enjoyed reconnecting with them. Those who loved her best and will miss her most include her husband, Joe Montgomery; son, Mike Montgomery and wife, Kathy; son, Greg Montgomery and wife, Rena; daughter, Susie Montgomery White and husband, Barry; son, Neal Montgomery; grandchildren, Sarah Beth Simmons and husband, Jordan, Caroline Fernandez and husband, Eric, Matthew Montgomery and wife, Casey, Scott Montgomery, Sydney Montgomery, R.B. White, Joseph White, Josh Montgomery and wife, Tiffany, Laura Dies and husband, Jordan, Taylor Thompson and Wade Thompson; great-grandchildren, Mason Montgomery, Evie Montgomery, Lottie Montgomery, Camila Fernandez, Jackson Montgomery and three great-grand children on the way.
