R.B. Kirby passed away June 13, 2016 in Graham, Texas. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 15, 2016, at Restland Cemetery in Olney, Texas. McMillan-Satterwhite Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Kirby was born Oct. 6, 1925, in Madill, Oklahoma, and moved to Graham in 1977 from Littlefield, Texas. He was a retired butcher and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Mr. Kirby was a deacon at Crescent Park Church of Christ and was a member of the Loving Highway Church of Christ in Graham.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Laverne Kirby, in 2012; a brother, Alton Kirby; and by a daughter-in-law, Cindy Kirby.

Survivors include four daughters, Linda Powell and husband Charlie, Becky Rodgers and husband Randal, Carrol Sutherland and husband Dean and April Glidewell and husband Ray; a son, Kevin Kirby and wife Jan; a brother, Don Kirby and wife Judy; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
