Richard Herman McGehee

Richard Herman McGehee gained his very deserved wings on Friday, Dec. 17, in Decatur, Texas. He was 85 years old. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 21 at 2 p.m. at Eastside Church of Christ in Graham. Interment will follow at Pioneer Cemetery. Visitation was held Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the McMillan-Satterwhite Funeral Home Chapel.

Herman was born on July 5, 1936, in Stephenville, Texas, to the late Emery H. McGehee and Annie L. Poncelot McGehee. He married Marcheta Guyton on Feb. 11, 1956, in Seldon, Texas. Herman was considered to be a top mechanic by all who knew him. He owned and operated his own business, McGehee Implement in Graham for many years. If you had a question about a tractor, everyone knew to call Herman. Herman will be dearly missed not only by his family, but by his entire community as well.

Survivors include his wife Marcheta of Graham, two sons Terry McGehee and wife Teresa of Graham, and Randy McGehee and wife Rebecca of Stephenville. Four grandchildren; Aron McGehee, Talina Harden and husband Zach, Raegan McGehee, and Randon McGehee. Five great-grandchildren, and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Ann Brackett.
