Roy Gene Rogers

Roy Gene Rogers, age 67, passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2020, at his residence in North Archer County.

Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City. No services are planned.

Roy was born April 1, 1953 in Graham, Texas to Bernie B. Rogers and Ethel Mabel Mason.  Roy graduated from Newcastle High School. Directly after graduation, he served active duty in the United States Air Force.  After he served his Country, he moved to Houston, Texas where he began a lifelong career in the Oil and Gas Industry.  He resided in Houston until he retired twelve years ago and relocated to Archer County.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernie B. Rogers and Ethel Mabel Mason Rogers; his brother, Jimmy Rogers; and his sisters, Hazel Coley and Charlotte LaRose.

Survivors include his daughter, Tina Augsburger of Wichita Falls; two grandsons, Eric Key of Graham, Texas, and Evan Augsburger of Wichita Falls; a sister, Peggy DePriest and brother-in-law Phillip DePriest; a sister-in-law, Juanita Rogers, nephews Phillip W. DePriest, Jamye Rogers, Randy Stephens, Allen LaRose, and Jack Amburn; and nieces: Elizabeth Johnson, Janan Burch, Phillis Crutchfield, Patricia Williams and Elizabeth Johnson.
