Ruth Arellano, 59, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2021, in Graham.  Funeral services will be held Saturday, Aug. 28, 2021, at 11 a.m. in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel.

Ruth was born Nov. 3, 1961 in Loraine to the late Benito Munos and Rosa (Alverez) Gonzalez. She married Johnny Arellano Sept. 20, 1980 in Graham. She was a loving wife, mother, and NayNay. Ruth was employed by South Plains Community as a WIC Certified Specialist.

She touched many lives through her position at WIC and if you had the pleasure of knowing her then you knew what her family and faith meant to her. Her faith kept her strong and even in the weeks leading to her hospital stay she would remind us that God has a plan. It may not have been ours, but she is so lucky to be getting to walk through the pearly gates of Heaven. She will be missed so dearly, but never forgotten.

Survivors include: husband, Johnny Arellano of Graham; daughter, Joanie Cox and husband, Michael of Schertz; grandchildren, Conner Jonas, Brantley Cox and Addilyn Cox all of Schertz; sisters, Lidia Kelley of Graham, Janie Arellano of Graham, Rosita Swift of Graham, Lisa Gonzales of Graham and Linda Chenault of Graham; brother, Benny Gonzales of Graham.
