Steven Ray Green, 61, was taken home to Heaven on March 25, 2017. Steve was born in Sweetwater on Aug. 14, 1955, and his family moved to Graham in 1957. After retiring from Tuboscope, Steve devoted his time to hunting, fishing and helping his mother with her resale shop. Those who knew Steve enjoyed his quick wit, sense of humor and generous heart. He cherished his friends, family and especially his nieces and nephews. Steve was preceded in death by his father, Charles Green Jr., and sister, Diana Robinson. He is survived by his mother, Luise Green; brother, George Green; brother, Danny Green and wife, Donna, and brother-in-law, Brent Robinson; nieces and nephews, Brandi Cox and husband, A.P., Heather Cox and husband, Brandon, Jarrod Green, Rachel Green, Andy Cox, Dylan Cox and Hayden Cox. And, of course, the big buck that got away, "Hamburger.” A memorial service for Steve will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 1, at McMillan-Satterwhite Funeral Home.
